Incentives
The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) can be used by private-sector businesses that hire individuals from twelve target groups who have consistently faced significant barriers to employment, including
- Workers who receive certain kinds of Social Security payments
- Workers referred to a job from the state Vocational Rehabilitation service
- Some workers who receive Temporary Assistant to Needy Familiesl (TANF)
- Sign Language interpreting for customers or employees
- Purchase of adaptive equipment or modification of equipment
- Production of print materials in alternative formats
- Improving access to physical location by removing barriers in buildings or transportation
- Tax Incentives for Business (US DOL)
- Tax Incentives Packet to help cover costs of making access improvements for customers with disabilities
